The idea of GSHC was born in 2014 when the founders wished to increase connectivity on roads to their home villages. But according to Nepali law, registered companies only could purchase heavy equipment like excavators. This prompted the formation of GSHC—initially to purchase machinery. But with the devastation of the earthquake in 2015, Nepal started a phase of huge reconstruction and growth, opening new opportunities across the whole civil engineering scene.

Recognizing this national need, GSHC expanded its scope from ownership of equipment to execute large-scale construction works via government tender bidding. The company was legally registered on 3rd November, 2015 (2072/07/17) under Registration No. 141459/072/073 and has since demonstrated growth into one of the best construction contractors in the country.
